Jagiellonia Białystok's number one threat is Jesus Imaz, a 35-year-old Spaniard whose career only took off when he moved to Poland at the age of 27.
Imaz spent eight years kicking around the lower Spanish leagues without much success, before deciding to make the switch to Wisla Krakow in 2017. Since then he has since established himself as one of Ekstraklasa's most prolific goalscorers.
A second striker equally adept in the box and taking part in build-up play, the veteran has racked up 107 goals and 36 assists during his eight seasons plying his trade in the Polish top flight (two in Krakow and six in Bialystok).
The big upturn for Jagiellonia came when Adrian Siemieniec was placed in charge of the team in 2023: in his first full season at the helm (2023/24), the young (then 32-year-old) coach guided Jagiellonia to their historic first title.
Jagiellonia are currently top of the Ekstraklasa and ended the league phase of the Conference League level on points with Fiorentina.
They have a very young squad – average age 23 – and lost one of their most promising youngsters in January, when Porto prized away 17-year-old winger Oskar Pietuszewski for €10 million.
