Viti: "I feel right at home"

Mattia Viti was officially unveiled as a Fiorentina player. Here’s some of what our new defender had to say at the WindTre Media Center.

FIORENTINA - "Seeing my dad get goosebumps the day I signed for Fiorentina made me happy and proud. I'll do everything I can for Fiorentina and try to follow the coach's demands as best I can every day. I feel right at home at this club – it’s got everything you need to succeed."

IDOLS - "[Nikola] Milenkovic and [Luca] Ranieri have always been great role models for me. I met Luca recently, and there's so much I can learn from him."

DEVELOPMENT - "My experiences at Nice and Sassuolo were incredibly useful because they helped me mature."

POSITION - "I’ve not got any preferences. I’ll play wherever I'm asked to play."

OBJECTIVES - "The coach wrote on the whiteboard exactly how long Florentina has gone without winning a trophy. We'll give it our all to bring glory to the city."

SHIRT NUMBER - "Every weekend as a child I’d watch Fiorentina with my grandfather. I had [Sebastien] Frey's jersey and [Giampaolo] Pazzini's number 29, which I became obsessed by."

FAZZINI - "I've had a close relationship with him since last year. You can tell how happy Jacopo is to be at the club."

KEAN AND GUD - "They’re top players. Moise [Kean] is such an explosive forward. Gud [Albert Gudmundsson] is really good at linking play."
