Fiorentina Women won their last match of February 3-2 against Sassuolo, with a brace by an outstanding Emma Severini.
After dominating the first half of the match, Fiorentina took the lead at the very start of the second half: Severini scored with a backheel, reaching the incredible milestone of 700 goals in Fiorentina Women’s history.
After Sassuolo’s Naomi Eto’o scored the equaliser, Fiorentina immediately responded with a goal by Sofie Bredgard. In the 68th minute, Sassuolo committed a foul in the box and Fiorentina were awarded a penalty. Severini took it and gave her team a two-goal lead.
Towards the end, Sassuolo’s Daniela Sabatino pulled one back for Sassuolo, making the final result 3-2 for the Viola.
