A few months ago we described Arthur Atta as the number one threat for Fiorentina. From here on, he'll be one of the danger men for Fiorentina's opponents.

Atta was born on January 14, 2003 in Rennes, France, and started out in the academy of Saint-Jacques. At the age of nine he was spotted by Rennes and worked his way up their youth ranks before joining Metz in 2018. He made his senior debut in a Ligue 2 match against Niort on December 26, 2022.

18 months later he was snapped up by Udinese on a loan move with an option to purchase, which the Friulians took up the following year on the basis of his promising displays. 

After a season bedding in, Atta hit the ground running in the 2025/26 campaign – scoring in the season-opener against Carrarese in the Coppa Italia before grabbing the match-winner against Inter on Matchday 2 of Serie A. He would end the year with 34 appearances, six goals and three assists.

Standing 189 cm tall, Atta might look like a typical, heavy-duty defensive midfielder, but he is in fact a very dynamic and unpredictable player. With his excellent first touch and agility in tight spaces, he drifts past opponents with ease and last season he completed the fourth-most dribbles in Serie A. 

This combination of physicality and technique make Arthur the prototype modern midfielder who can hold his own in any situation. Out of possession, he uses his height and power to cover much of the pitch and shield the defense. In possession he links midfield and attack and is capable of picking out team-mates with precision passes all over the pitch.
