Ciro Capasso scored twice as Fiorentina Primavera defeated Roma in dramatic fashion in their first match back after the long winter break.
The Viola forward opened the scoring just three minutes into the encounter but there were to be no further goals until Niccolo Pisilli header in an equaliser for the league leaders with a minute of normal time remaining.
It seemed the spoils would be shared but Capasso had other ideas as he burst forward in the dying seconds, cut inside his man and applied a confident finish to snatch the three points.
Victory takes the Viola into third place – pending results elsewhere – with 23 points from 13 games.
