ACF Fiorentina is pleased to announce that Sebastian de la Fuente has been appointed as the new head coach of the women’s first-team.

The Argentine, born in 1976, was in charge of Como Women for the last two seasons, winning promotion to Serie A in his first campaign and securing the club’s top flight status well ahead of time in his second.

De la Fuente’s coaching career began in 2007, and he went on to achieve success and promotions with the men’s sides he managed. He made the leap to women’s football in 2016, joining Inter’s coaching staff. He was then promoted to the role of head coach and led the Nerazzurri to promotion to Serie A in 2019.

After two seasons in charge of Inter Women’s Primavera side he was called upon by Como and tasked with taking the club to Serie A.

Sebastian de la Fuente has signed a deal with the club until June 2024.
