New Fiorentina signing Jonathan Ikone is unveiled to press and fans.

Director Daniele Pradé welcomed the new player: "We're happy he picked Fiorentina at this stage in his career. We wanted him now so he can adapt for six months, get to know the coach and the league. He is a modern player, with qualities which are perfect for Italiano. We're happy."

Ikone then spoke about his arrival, his new team, this step in his career and his decision to join Fiorentina.

ON THE MOVE - "I am here to show my value, it's the next step in my career. I am here to improve myself and help the team. It was the right moment for this move, I achieved a lot with Lille. Fiorentina play good football, and I am happy to be part of this team."

ON HIMSELF -  "My main quality is pace and the ability to dribble past players. I have to improve in decision making in the final third. Scoring in itself isn't a personal objective, but of course I am valued also for the goals I score. I enjoy providing assists, and also want to score."

ON NUMBER 11 - "There isn't any specific reason for picking number 11, but I had it during my spell at Paris Saint-Germain."

ON MBAPPE - "Mbappé and I keep in touch, we're friends, he messaged me when he found out about the move, he said it's a good decision and now it's down to me to make it something big. I thanked him for his message."

ON MAIGNAN - "Maignan was happy for me, we speak, we're friends and we'll meet on the pitch."

ON THE IDOLS GROWING UP - "Players like Ronaldinho or Robinho are reference points. I watched them on Youtube. Football has changed, so other qualities are also needed. But the Brazilian players made me dream."

ON THE OBJECTIVES - "Everything is possible. Every match is a chance to get points and aim for the positions ahead of us."
