ACF Fiorentina is delighted to announce the Viola's involvement in the UNBEATABLES CUP on 7 August 2021.

The first edition of the charity tournament will see the participation of Fiorentina, Espanyol, Real Betis and AS Roma.

Fiorentina will host Espanyol at the Stadio Franchi in Florence for a 19:00 CEST kick-off.

The UNBEATABLES CUP is named after the UNBEATABLES Association (www.unbeatables.it), which has for years been supporting research into cardiomyopathy and sudden death.

The main aims of the of the association are:

- to raise awareness of the problem, especially among young athletes;
- to fund research into inherited heart disease;
- to donate defibrillators to sports centres and offer training on how to use them correctly;
- to run BLSD (Basic Life Support and Defibrillation) and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) courses for athletes and ordinary people.

The tournament will see two matches played on the same day, Saturday 7 August:

Fiorentina v Espanyol, 19.00 CEST, Stadio Artemio Franchi, Florence. This match is highly significant in that the former captains of both teams, Davide Astori and Daniel Jarque, suffered tragic deaths in similar circumstances. Daniel Jarque died in Coverciano, Florence on 8 August 2009.

Real Betis v AS Roma, Estadio Benito Villamarin, Seville, 22:00 CEST.
