Fiorentina Women played its last home match of 2025 and delivered a narrow victory over Ternana. Iris Omarsdottir secured the victory for her team, scoring in the 2^nd minute of the game.
 Despite the early lead, match that was never completely sealed, with coach Antonio Cincotta’s team getting many chances to equalize.

Despite the early lead, Fiorentina failed to score a second goal that would’ve sealed the win, hitting the crossbar twice throughout the game and coming close to scoring a second goal on many occasions. The determination of Ternana – who never took a shot on target but nevertheless built many dangerous plays – paid off at the very end of the match when in the 92^nd minute Emma Lombardi made contact with Valeria Pirone in the box and the referee awarded a penalty. A draw seemed inevitable, but in a final twist Pirone’s shot went high, with the game ultimately ending after 100 minutes in a 1-0 win for the hosts. All Viola Park erupted in celebration. Fiorentina are now in second place, five points behind Roma. Next weekend they are scheduled to play their final 2025 Serie A Women match away from home against Como Women, which promises to be a difficult fixture.
