Lapo Deli, a midfielder born in 2006 who has been at the club for more than 12 years, featured on a new episode of Viola Futuro. Here’s a selection of what the player had to say:
“My most exciting match here was against Inter for the U17s. We went far but we lost 3-1.
“I’ve got a great relationship with everyone from my cohort, as well as the lads in the year below. I feel a sense of responsibility for them, although they’re mature as well.
“My sole focus has been on football. Since I started playing the game aged five it’s been the only sport I’ve been involved in. In terms of hobbies, I enjoy playing a bit of PlayStation in the evenings or going out with friends.
“My dad used to play football, albeit not to a high level. I used to watch my older brother play as well and went on to play with him and his mates in the playground.
“Where do I hope to be in five years’ time? Playing in Serie A.”
