A round-up of the team's preparation together with some stats ahead of Sunday's visit to Pisa.
It's been a busy week at Viola Park. After their defeat to Como last time out, the team have been working hard to prepare for their next league game at the Arena Garibaldi against Pisa, coached by former Fiorentina striker Alberto Gilardino. The Tuscan derby kicks off at 15:00 on Sunday.
The players have been doing lots of fitness work and tactical drills, together with strength work in the gym and video analysis of Sunday's opposition.
The referee for the match is Gianluca Manganiello while Pezzutto and Maresca will be on VAR duty.
This will be the first Serie A meeting between Fiorentina and Pisa in over 31 years. The last one, on February 24, 1991, ended 4-0 to Fiorentina at the Stadio Franchi.
Pisa have only won one of their 14 top-flight encounters with Fiorentina: a 2-1 home win in November 1986.
