A shirt to celebrate Fiorentina's origins and its centenary

Florence 1926: the most exciting football came from the Club Sportivo Firenze, with its white jersey, and the Palestra Ginnastica Fiorentina Libertas, sporting a red one. When in August of that year Marquis Luigi Ridolfi Vay da Verrazzano merged the two clubs, to create the more ambitious Associazione Calcio Fiorentina, the identity of the two clubs of the city was captured by their white and red jersey with black shorts and the Florence lily on the chest. Today, in 2026, exactly 100 years later, Joma has designed a kit for the club that pays tribute to the origins of the club’s history and retraces its early years, when the hearts of Florence beat for Fiorentina’s colors of the time, red and white.

The black collar, just like the shorts and socks, completes the kit. The goalkeeper’s kit is also black. On both, the fabric’s pattern was embellished by a jacquard weave, where the number 100 is graphically reinterpreted to re-evoke the symbol of infinity. The logo on the chest area is the one Fiorentina had in 1926, a red lily on a white kite shield, which was displayed on the players’ chest, who were united by the symbol of Florence as well as their sporting ambitions.

That shirt also included the thirteen lilies, which were embossed on the shirt, i.e. the lilies that are normally present in match kits, a tribute to the team’s late captain, Davide Astori, and the twelfth man on the pitch. Like in the rest of the 2026/27 collection, they enrich the left sleeve of each shirt, where the captain’s armband is normally worn.

The shirt also includes some details that highlight the club’s centenary, such as the symbol of infinity on the inside of the collar.

The shirt will also come in a limited edition with 1926 pieces of the red and white version and 100 of the black goalkeeper’s jersey, which can be identified by a specific patch. They will both be marketed with a special box set on sale exclusively at Fiorentina Stores and on fiorentinastore.com.

Technology applied to top-level football

From a technical perspective, Joma has introduced state-of-the-art textile solutions also in the creation of Fiorentina’s shirt for the centenary. The innovation that provides prestige to the brand seeks to meet the needs of today’s football. Therefore, Joma used materials and technologies developed to enhance top-level performances in every match.

  • Made in 100% recycled polyester fabric, obtained from PET plastic bottles, a light, resistant, high-quality material that combines athletic performance and commitment towards more sustainable production. This material contributes to reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere by 75% compared to traditional fabrics.
  • Technical structure with jacquard finishes to increase breathability. Coupled with Micro-Mesh System technology, strategically positioned in the areas where the most sweating occurs, ensures effective humidity management.
  • Strong, comfortable seams, that guarantee greater durability without limiting freedom of movement.
  • Its rib finishes on the neck and wrists provide comfortable wearability and help the garment to better adapt to the player’s body.
