Two set-pieces condemned Fiorentina to defeat at Udinese as the hosts ran out 3-0 winners. Christian Kabasele's header from a corner in the first half and Keinan Davis's penalty conversion in the second did the damage, before Adam Buksa added a third deep into stoppage time.

After Udinese's 10th-minute opener, Rolando Mandragora had several shooting opportunities – including two from free kicks – but he was unable to test Maduka Okoye with them. 

David De Gea did well to keep out a couple of chances for Davis either side of the break, yet he could do nothing when the striker stepped up to the spot shortly after the hour mark.

Fiorentina might have got one back soon after – Cher Ndour's header running wide – but were unable to find the goal that could have sparked a comeback and ended up conceding a third in the dying seconds.
