Simon Sohm shared his opinions in the wake of the Viola’s 3-0 away triumph in the Conference League:

“I think we went onto the pitch with a good mentality. It was important to start the season well, and we indeed did just that.

“I’m happy with how I started and my aim is to keep this up. I can’t do any less than I’m doing now. What’s important is to help the team.

“It was harder in the second half playing with a man down, but we’ve worked on this in training and I think we put in a good performance today.

“3-0 is a good result. Now we’ve got the second leg to deal with.

“Now we’ll try to recover well, which will be important. Then Serie A will begin – we’ve got a really important game coming up and we want to give our all.”
