ACF Fiorentina has announced that late yesterday evening Albert Gudmundsson underwent clinical and diagnostic tests following the sprain he suffered on Saturday evening during Iceland’s match against Azerbaijan.

The tests revealed that Albert has suffered a sprain to his anterior talorfibular ligament. The Icelandic forward has immediately started following a rehabilitation program set out by Fiorentina's medical staff. His condition will be reevaluated over the next few days to determine if he will be able to feature in Saturday's match against Napoli.
