Luca Ranieri cut a disappointed figure after the team’s 2-1 defeat at home to Como on Sunday.
“I’m very disappointed because we had a good first half and it hurts to end the game with nothing.
“We’re Fiorentina and while this is a new cycle with a new coach with new ideas and new players, two points from four games isn’t good enough. Now we have to react.
“We had a great first half but they grew into the game in the second half while we dropped too deep. They got a goal from a set piece, which affected our confidence.
“This hurts and we’re all really disappointed. It’s just the start of a cycle.
“It’s just September. The fans got behind us until the last second. We understand that they’re disappointed. We’ll try our best to make amends in our next game.”
