A special moment was dedicated to the memory of Rocco B. Commisso at the presentation of the 2026 Golden Boy awards - the annual prize for best Under 21 player organised by Tuttosport.

This is how he was remembered: 

“Rocco B. Commisso was very much underestimated by Italian football. The media often highlighted his character, but the impact he had on Italian football and Fiorentina is clear to see in one of the finest, most modern training grounds in Europe and in a modern stadium which - although not as modern as he would have liked - will host Fiorentina in a year's time. At a time when Italian football is experiencing huge difficulties on an infrastructural level, Commisso was two steps ahead."
