Fiorentina awarded the Golden Collar for Sporting Merit

On Monday, October 12, Italian sport celebrated its most important figures in the Hall of Honour of the Foro Italico in Rome.

The award ceremony of the Golden Collars for Sporting Merit, the greatest acknowledgement awarded by CONI, pays tribute to the athletes and teams who, through their successes, have contributed to writing unforgettable chapters of Italian sporting history. The purpose of the event is to celebrate milestones reached, talent and the sacrifices behind every achievement, while acknowledging the value of sport in everyday life.

Alessandro Ferrari, Managing Director of ACF Fiorentina, attended the event and collected the award during the club’ centenary year.

Here is what he had to say: “Thank you. I am very honored to be here today and I feel a great sense of responsibility, as I accept this award on behalf of Fiorentina, the city of Florence and Viola fans.

“Our goal as we celebrate our centenary is to guarantee a bright future for this club, which is what it deserves. I would like to thank the Commisso family. We’ve been investing in young talent: the Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park is a welcoming home where young kids can grow up as members of the Fiorentina family and of the city of Florence.”
