Read Stefano Pioli’s comments ahead of Milan v Fiorentina:
RETURNING TO SAN SIRO - “I would’ve liked to go back to San Siro under different circumstances, but right now I’m not thinking about the emotions I’ll inevitably feel once I’m there. I’m focused on our match, even though I’ve experienced wonderful emotions there.”
ALBERT GUDMUNDSSON - “He hadn’t been performing as well and these two matches have been good for him. He’s in better physical and mental condition. However, I expect more from him.”
MOISE KEAN - “He did some pool work and over the past few days on the pitch. Today he did part of his training session with the team and tomorrow we’ll come to a final a decision. We are confident, but we’re going to wait until tomorrow.”
LINE-UP - “The best we can offer. Those who weren’t on international duty have trained well. They have important qualities; they’re good despite the absences. I expect to see the performance of a team who want to do well, who are aware that they can win. The results don’t show it, but I believe that we are growing.”
MARIN PONGRACIC AND SIMON SOHM - "Pongracic is feeling well. Sohm is feeling better. I think both of them will be called up.”
NICOLO FAGIOLI - “He’s feeling well. He has trained very well. At the start of the season, I chose him as the team’s playmaker and I have to say that I was very convinced about my choice. His performances had been good, but as we started experiencing the first setbacks, he felt demoralized, so I moved him to a different position.”
PIETRO COMUZZO - “He went through a period in which his mental and physical state was not great, so I decided to go with other players instead. When you don’t get the results you’re hoping for, the most natural reaction you can have is to look at the players who aren’t playing, but I make my decisions based on what I see. We all need to work hard and those who aren’t playing need to show me something more.”
