Stefano Pioli delivered a pre-match press conference ahead of Fiorentina’s game against Pisa this weekend. Here’s a selection of what our coach said:

TARIQ LAMPTEY – "Unfortunately he had to undergo surgery. I'm very sorry for the guy, but these things can happen in football."

CESC FABREGAS - "He knew how we would line up, but we didn't lose the match because he knew we would play with four at the back. We didn't know how to exploit Como’s weaknesses."

CURRENT FORM - "I can't be happy with the results we’ve been getting. As a consequence, I'm very focused on my work. However, in order to make our dreams come true we need to work harder and better. There's often very little difference between winning, drawing and not losing matches - it's up to us to make the difference."

LEADERS - "They're always positive and focused and are trying to do their best as part of the group."

PISA DERBY - "The bedding-in period is over. We know the importance of this match and our position in the league standings. We need to talk less and work hard in order to win on Sunday. In order to win this kind of game you need to fight a lot. Certain matches require real fight and sacrifice at certain points of the season."

MOISE KEAN - "Moise is capable of playing up top on his own or with a strike partner, but that's not the issue. We need to develop play more as a team and improve in our build-up play."
