Willy Gnonto and Pedro Goncalves were officially unveiled to the media as Fiorentina players during a press conference at Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park's Wind3 Media Center on Wednesday. Below you can read a selection of their comments.

PEDRO

FIORENTINA - “I want to thank the Commisso family, Fabio Paratici and everyone at Fiorentina for bringing me to Florence. We might not have a team ready to win trophies immediately but I'm sure we can achieve good results here.”

VANOLI - “I've talked to the coach a lot. He's very fond of 4-3-3. My best position is in the hole. I feel comfortable playing between the lines. I'll give everything I can to help the team.”

POTE - “Pote is a nickname that's stuck with me since I was a kid when I was a few kilos overweight. I prefer to be called Pedro.”

SERIE A - “The Italian league is much more tactical than the other European leagues.”

SAUDI ARABIA - “My plan was always to remain in Europe. I'm happy to have joined this club in their centennial year.”

FLORENCE - “The city is very passionate about the football team and that's something I can identify with. Fiorentina have had top players like Rui Costa and Nuno Gomes. I'm very happy to be here because the club has big plans.”

LEADER - “I'd say I have more of a younger person's mentality – I'm not a natural leader but I do like winning. We must always step onto the pitch with the aim of winning and build a strong team spirit.”

GNONTO

FIORENTINA - “I want to thank the club too. I hope to repay the faith that's been shown in me by expressing my full potential.”

VANOLI - “The coach has given us a huge boost and placed the emphasis on team spirit right from the get-go.”

UK - “I learned lots of things during my time in the UK. I grew as a player on the pitch and off it as a man. I hope to put my experience at the service of the team.”

VIOLA MOVE - “As soon as I found out about the chance to come to Fiorentina, I did everything I could to make it happen.”
