Here’s some of what former Fiorentina captain Manuel Pasqual said after the game between Fiorentina All Stars and Operazione Nostalgia Legends:

“It’s so emotional, especially because I’ve been able to see so many great players out on the pitch. Thanks to all of my team-mates for coming back - it’s nice to relive the good old days. Thanks to all the fans who came out tonight, and I think all these guys who played for Fiorentina made history for the club. It’s been a lovely evening with many smiles and fun.

“It was a real pleasure to celebrate Fiorentina’s centenary. The love of the club is deep. It’s something that binds the city and the team together in a special way. Many former players have chosen to live in the city after retiring, and you feel the emotions of the club every time you go out in the street.”
