Cher Ndour was interviewed in the aftermath of Fiorentina’s 3-1 home defeat to Como in the Coppa Italia. Here’s some of what the 21-year-old had to say about the result:

“We’re disappointed with the outcome of the game given how we started the match. We’ve been knocked out of an important competition. I thought we did well in the first half – we won most of the second balls and had a few chances, but we conceded an unlucky goal. We allowed them to dominate in the second half and they took advantage of this.

“We didn’t react properly after conceding. They put the game to bed with their quality. I think we need to build on today’s first half performance.”
