Raffaele Palladino and Rolando Mandragora spoke to journalists on Wednesday ahead of Fiorentina's UEFA Conference League semi-final second leg against Real Betis at the Stadio Franchi on Thursday.

Here's some of what they had to say:

PALLADINO

RENEWAL - “It was a surprise for me too. The president told me about it half an hour ago. It makes me feel very proud and I want to thank him and everyone at the club. It's an added incentive for us and tomorrow we'll try to take Fiorentina into the final.”

PREPARATION - “We can and we must do better than in the first leg. We made some mistakes over the 90 minutes. But the players are fired up for it and together with our fans we'll give it everything we've got against Betis tomorrow.”

APPROACH - “It's important we make a strong start to the game and set out our stall but we also need to be wise enough not to rush things and to pay attention to every little detail.”

BETIS - “Betis are a great team with top-quality players. Regardless of who plays, we're going to need to be extremely careful.”

SERIE A – “It's all still to play for.”

DODO – “He's been training with us for a few days now. He's fine.”

CATALDI - “Danilo won't be available tomorrow.”

MANDRAGORA

BETIS – “Tomorrow we'll be playing in front of our fans and it makes us very proud to play in front of a full stadium. A lot will depend on our attitude. We'll do everything we can to get into the final again.”

PREPARATION – “We'll need to be smart during the match as there will be duels in every area of the pitch. We made a few mistakes going forward in Spain but tomorrow it all depends on us.”

PALLADINO'S RENEWAL – “We've started out on this journey together and it will be a pleasure to continue with him.”

IMPRESSIVE CAMPAIGN - “The coach has given me a lot of freedom. When you sense people believe in you, it's easier for you to express your full potential.”
