Here's a selection of comments made by Raffaele Palladino ahead of Fiorentina's visit to Udinese on Sunday.

MOTIVATION - “We have plenty of incentive going into this game in Udine because there are targets we can still reach. If Lazio slip up, we could qualify for Europe, the Conference League. It's also important to avoid the extra round in the Coppa Italia next season. That's why we'll do everything we can to win on Sunday.”

FANS' DISAPPOINTMENT - “I understand the fans' disappointment and I can put myself in their shoes. We're not really happy either. We could have done something extraordinary by making the dream of Champions League football come true. We know that and we're sad about it. However, it's important that both we and the fans appreciate how much progress we have made. There are definitely things we need to improve but there are also lots of good things for us to reflect on and make the most of.”

CLUB - “I've always had conversations with the club and always will, in the good and the bad. The club has always been there for me and I can only thank the owner and the management.”

KEAN - “There's a lot of trust and respect between and many of the players. I'm fond of all of them and with lots of them I have a relationship that goes beyond football. That's what happened with Moise. He's a genuine person. I wish him lots of happiness and love. Moise has found a lot of love in Florence.”

FRANCHI CHANTS - “I'd ask the fans to believe in our growth. We needn't throw everything away. We've all learned a lot from this season – both the players and the staff. Now it's up to me to get the fans believing again and that's an added incentive. I'm happy in Florence and I want to take Fiorentina as high as possible.”

LOANS AND TRANSFERS - “I'll talk to the club on Monday. We have to build on the framework we've created over the last few months.”

FORMATIONS - “I've learned the importance of not relying on one formation. This year the players and I have learned to use four or five different systems and it's been an added value for us.”

BOVE - “I want to thank Edoardo on behalf of all of us. He's been our extra man, an extra mental support for everyone. He'll decide his future with the club.”
