This is what Raffaele Palladino had to say after Fiorentina's were beaten 3-2 by Panathinaikos in Athens in the first leg of the Conference League round of 16:

“Obviously we aren't happy with that result. We wanted to build on the Lecce game. It hurts to lose but we still have the return leg and we can turn it around. 

“We played well in the first half despite not getting off to the best of starts. Once again, we found ourselves behind and then responded to it. The team had a good reaction to get us back level at 2-2 and then score a third, which was disallowed.

“We didn't start the second half as we should and I wasn't happy with that. After conceding the third, we got a bit worked up and the game went the way it did. 

“We believe we can come back in the second leg. The players were disappointed, angry in a good way, and are determined to flip the result around.

“We'll immediately turn our attentions to Napoli now. We only have two days but we'll head to Naples and try to produce a big performance. 

“After that we have the return leg and obviously we want to progress to the next round.”
