Cher Ndour had a quick chat with us after completing his move from Paris Saint-Germain.

Welcome, Cher. What's it like being back in Italy?

“I'm very happy. It's something I'd wanted for a while. I'm thrilled to join Fiorentina – a great club. I think this is the right place for me.”

Do you know some of your new team-mates already from the national teams?

“Yes, I know Pietro [Comuzzo] and [Andrea] Colpani, as we went on a few Italy training camps together. Obviously I know about lots of the others too. I can't wait to get on the pitch with them.”

You've played for some big clubs. What do you make of Viola Park? 

“In all the years I've spent abroad, I've never seen a training ground quite like this. It's stunning. It really has got the lot – every piece of equipment and everything else you need to succeed.”

What are you expecting from this next stage of your career?

"I expect great things. I want to prove I'm up to this club and these facilities.”
