Paolo Vanoli reacted to the 3-1 defeat by Sassuolo on Saturday.
“First of all, we need to apologise to our supporters. I said to the players that they don’t need to be players in this situation as what we really need is men. We have to become men because this match sums it up. No more excuses. No more fear. We need to be brave. When you go 1-0 up, the fear should disappear and everything should flow better. The formation doesn’t come into it. It’s about playing for each other again and I’ve told the players to their faces that I haven’t seen that since I took over.”
