Coach Paolo Vanioli was interviewed after Fiorentina’s Conference League second leg win over Rakow. Here’s some of what the boss had to say:

“We knew that it would be a hard game. I’m not looking for excuses but the pitch condition didn’t help. We did well to bounce back after conceding and did a great job at getting the win.

“The lads deserve credit because playing a game in Cremona and then having to come here a few days later isn’t easy. There are so many things we need to improve on, as is always the case, but we’ve made it to the next round, which was our objective.”
