Former Fiorentina favourite Nikola Milenkovic faced his former side today as Nottingham Forest and the Viola played out a 0-0 draw. Here’s some of what the Serbian had to say:
“It was a special evening. It was emotional to face Fiorentina and see old friends with whom I spent many great years. Best of luck to the lads, the coaching staff and Stefano Pioli for this season.”
“It was a great and tough game. We knew that it would be a challenge. Both teams had their chances. It was a warm-up match and both sides are preparing well for the new campaign.”
“Moise Kean is a fantastic footballer. He’s really physical and his goalscoring and positional sense are second to none. I love him as a player. You can see what Pioli is asking of the team. They’re a well-oiled machine and it was tough facing them today. It was a good test for both teams.”
“I think Pioli is a great coach. I worked with him at Fiorentina and he really improved me as a player. He’s a fantastic person as well. I think he can offer a lot to Fiorentina and these players. I hope he can win a trophy for the club because the whole place deserves it.”
