Two passions coming together, two worlds shaping one another: that is what happened thanks to the Illustration Marathon, an initiative organized by Fiorentina and the International School of Comics.

On June 20, over 70 young artists worked for eight hours to interpret and shape an image that captured the timeless and limitless passion for Fiorentina.

On Tuesday, Antonella Castrovillari and Andrea Rossetti were presented with their awards for their works on the Curva Fiesole pitch, in front of many Fiorentina fans.

The two young artists, who are 25 and 26 years old respectively, turned their passion for drawing and illustrations into a future career, and showed their works to the fans who were at Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park to support their team during pre-season.

Maybe the men, women, children, boys and girls who were there saw themselves in the world rotating around a football game and the limitless support for Fiorentina drawn by Antonella, or perhaps the passion for a team that is passed down from one generation to the next, captured in Andrea’s work. They both certainly did a great job at offering a unique interpretation of the bond holding together Fiorentina and their fans, as the club nears its centenary.

A special thank you goes to the youngest participants in the Illustration Marathon initiative, Aurora and Viola, who took up the challenge of contributing to this event dedicated to Fiorentina’s centenary.
