“It’s been a demanding week with double sessions and very hot weather. We’re all very tired, but it’s good for us because this way, we’ll be ready for the new season.”

It’s your second year with the first team. What are you hoping to achieve this season?

“I want to start this new season strongly, without any injuries. I want to have a good season with this team. We’re very ambitious and we’re a very close-knit group, which is great.”

How important is it for U20 players to train with the first team?

“It’s important and it’s great to see that the club really believes in its younger players. We need to make the most of these opportunities.”

Can you name one team-mate in particular who has helped you the most?

“Robin Gosens, who has just moved on to a new club. He was like a father to me, and I want to wish him every success in this new chapter of his career.”
