ACF Fiorentina is pleased to announce the signing of Joao Mario Neto Lopes from Juventus F.C. on an initial loan move. The deal includes an option to make the transfer permanent.

Joao Mario was born in Sao Joao de Madeira, Portugal on January 3, 2000 and grew up in the Porto youth academy. He went on to make 181 appearances in all competitions (Portuguese league, Champions League, Europa League and Club World Cup) for Porto, scoring five goals and making 26 assists. During that time he won two Primeira Liga titles, four Portuguese Cups, one Portuguese League Cup and three Portuguese Super Cups.

In Italy he has plied his trade for Juventus and Bologna, playing 20 Serie A games and scoring one goal for Bologna. 

Joao Mario also has three senior Portugal caps to his name.
