Kean's post-Torino press conference

Moise Kean's addresses the media after scoring in the 2-2 draw between Fiorentina and Torino.

How are you feeling now after your injury?

“My ankle is better. I'm still a little apprehensive when I take a tumble but I'm working to get stronger every day so that I can help the team in every match.”

What's the mood like in the dressing room after conceding another late goal?

“We have a lot of work to do. We've conceded too many late goals. Without them we'd be a lot higher up. The most important thing is we mustn't let it get to us because if we do that it'll be the end of us. We mustn't let our heads drop. We must keep fighting together. We all have to do more. We must stop conceding these late goals because we can't afford to drop any more points. I feel very optimistic. I know we can perform well and get ourselves out of the drop zone.”

Fabio Paratici described you as the best Italian striker, a 20-goal-a-season striker. How do you interpret that?

“He's always encouraged me and helped me to improve as a player, ever since our time together at Juventus. I'm really happy to link up with him again here because I think he's an excellent sporting director who can really help Fiorentina. It's nice to hear him say those things.”

Do you have a message for the disappointed fans?

“We need everyone: the fans, our team-mates and all the staff. Only by working together can we get out of this. We have a great group here and I know we can achieve big things.”

You seemed to be in control after taking the lead but then Torino got that late equalizer. What happened at the end of the game?

“We needed to mark up better, especially on [Guillermo] Maripan's goal. We needed to be more alert on those last few balls into the box because that's what is costing us. We're optimistic but we know that's something we need to work on.”

There's been some criticism of you in recent weeks. Would you like to respond to that?

“In times of difficulty I was always there with the team. And even when the team had a day off, I came in to Viola Park to work on my ankle problem because I wanted to recover. I was given permission to go away for a few days due to a family matter but then I came back and worked as hard as I could so that I could return quickly and help the team.”
