Coach Daniele Galloppa was interviewed after his Fiorentina Primevera side overcame their Torino counterparts. Here’s some of what he had to say:

“I was hoping for such a result but to have seen the lads play like that was a pleasant surprise. It was a fantastic match against a tough opponent who’ll give everyone they face a real game this season. The lads deserve congratulations because they put in a top performance, playing really well and creating many chances.”

“Some of the new players had already worked with me, so they were aware of what I ask from my players. They bring something different to the team, and we created many goalscoring opportunities today.”

“The only disappointment from the first half is that we didn’t score more goals, because we could’ve put the game beyond Torino. In the second half they reacted, and our energy levels also dropped off. The opposition will have their say so you’ve got to suffer sometimes. There are some things that we could’ve definitely done better, but in any case, we put in a great performance.”
