Fiorentina Primavera were held to a draw by Hellas Verona at Viola Park on Saturday.

The Viola started on the front foot and took the lead with just five minutes on the clock. Luis Balbo's cross from the left was knocked down by Bala Keita – returning after a two-month lay-off – and Riccardo Braschi turned in from close range.

Verona equalized shortly before the break thanks to a fine solo effort by Ioan Vermesan.

There were no further goals in the second half so the spoils were shared.

The point takes Daniele Galloppa's side up to 14 points after seven games, in second place with Parma, who play on Sunday.
