Florence is preparing to celebrate Fiorentina's centennial. For the occasion, the Municipality of Florence has teamed up with the club to organize a series of initiatives involving some of the city's most symbolic locations. Monuments will be lit up and events run to celebrate 100 years of history, identity and belonging for generations of Florentines.

On the nights of August 28 and 29, the city will turn Viola, with the city's historic gates, the Santa Croce basilica, the Santa Maria Novella basilica, the Loggia of the Innocents, the David in Piazzale Michelangelo, the Biancone in Piazza della Signoria and the Stadio Artemio Franchi all taking on a beautiful violet hue.
