The Viola secure three precious points with a great comeback
Two major teams of the U20 league clashed on Saturday: coach Daniele Galloppa’s Fiorentina and Juventus.
Fiorentina dominated the first half of the game but failed to capitalize on their chances. The hosts, on the other hand, tried to score on the counter.
Juventus scored the opener in the 29th minute: Arman Durmisi beat Fiorentina’s defense and found the bottom corner with a left-footed volley, making it 1-0.
Fiorentina then equalized thanks to Edoardo Sadotti’s right-footed effort from outside the box.
The second half was identical to the first, with Fiorentina playing out from the back and the Bianconeri hitting their opponents on the counter.
Fiorentina completed their comeback in the final minutes of the game with a successful header by Gabriele Conti.
With this crucial victory, Fiorentina picked up three very important points for their campaign.
The Viola have now moved to the top of the table, as they wait for the results of Parma and Cesena.
