Nicolo Fagioli took questions from the media following Friday's triumph over Venezia. This is what he had to say:

You were excellent today, especially with your recovery runs. What's changed with this team?

“I was pleased with my defensive contribution today. I have to improve at both ends of the pitch but especially defensively. 

"We played well today right from the get-go. After 20-25 minutes we conceded a goal against the run of play – it was a great goal but we should have been ahead by then. We have to improve there because goals can change games. Today we managed to fight back but other times it will be more difficult. We came out strong in the second half and fought as a team.”

You've had five training sessions with Paolo Vanoli. What has he said and done because you look like a completely different team?

“He came in studs-up and laid into us a bit. Our start to the season was embarrassing – for us, the club and our fans. We were all upset by it. Perhaps the guys who joined more recently understand less what it means to the fans here. But just as they show their disappointment when you play badly, they really lift you when they see you giving your all for this shirt. The boss told us to be a team – that was our goal for this match.”
