New signings Jack Harrison and Giovanni Fabbian were unveiled to journalists in the Wind3 Media Center at Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park on Friday.

Before then, sporting director Roberto Goretti opened proceedings with a few words.

ROBERTO GORETTI 

COMMISSO - “I and everyone here will always remember his example. We'll respect the values he conveyed every day. My thoughts are with Rocco's family.”

FABBIAN AND HARRISON - “They're two excellent additions. They've brought energy, humility and enthusiasm.”

JACK HARRISON

BIELSA - “[Marcelo] Bielsa helped me improve a lot. He was always very demanding. I get the impression there's a lot of attention to detail here at Fiorentina too.”

PIRLO - “I was lucky enough to be able to play with Andrea in the MLS. He was an incredibly famous player. I hope to be able to do something incredible like him and prove my worth in Italy.”

POSITION - “I work hard off the ball. In the Premier League I learnt to produce quality in the final third. I can't wait to get out on the pitch.”

IDOLS - “I'd really just like to get back to playing my best football. I hope to show my what I'm capable of at Fiorentina.

COMMISSO - “I'm happy to be at Rocco Commisso's club. He was important for Florence and Italy. I'd like to be able to honor his memory. I'd also like to ask the fans to make sure we get a big crowd tomorrow to give Rocco a final farewell.”

SHIRT NUMBER - “There's no special reason for choosing number 17. Everyone says it brings bad luck but I hope to prove that wrong.”

JOVETIC - “I remember watching [Stevan] Jovetic him play for Fiorentina and some of the amazing things he did here.”

SERIE A - “It was a simple choice for me. Fiorentina has everything you need as a professional to reach the top level.”

VANOLI - “I can see lots of similarities between Bielsa and [Paolo] Vanoli. The boss makes himself understood and he's very passionate. He's an excellent coach.”

GIOVANNI FABBIAN

CHOOSING FIORENTINA - “Fiorentina is a great club. I was immediately convinced by the club's plans so I decided to come to Florence. I want to help the coach and my team-mates get Fiorentina back where it deserves to be.”

BOLOGNA v FIORENTINA - “I didn't know about the transfer on Sunday. Fiorentina played really well. Now I'm here and I'm happy with my choice.”

FANS - “Hopefully we'll always have their support and above all we hope to be able to repay them.”

ITALIANO - “We've taken separate paths now but he was very important for my development.”

ITALY - “Of course playing for the national team is always something you aspire to, but right now my thoughts are solely on Fiorentina and achieving the goals we've set as a team.”

VANOLI - “The coach has just asked me to give everything I've got, which is obviously what I'm going to do.”

TEAM-MATES - “There's a great team spirit here with lots of guys who are determined to work hard to make Fiorentina successful.”
