Read Marco Brescianini’s and Manor Solomon’s words from their press conference at the Wind Tre Media Center:
BRESCIANINI
NEW ADVENTURE: “I chose Florence because of Fiorentina’s remarkable history. They presented me with an ambitious, interesting project, so I accepted right away. I want to thank the Commisso family and the club officials for making this possible.”
HITTING THE BAR AGAINST MILAN: “I didn’t sleep for three nights straight.”
TEAM: “It’s a very united, high-quality team. We all want to start a new chapter. I can’t wait to get on the pitch and compete.”
POSITION: “I like playing as a box-to-box midfielder so I can be dangerous in the attacking phase, but I can play wherever the team needs me to be. I am at the coach’s full disposal.”
GIACOMO BONAVENTURA: “He’s always been a role model for me.”
RAFFAELE PALLADINO: “He recommended that I join Fiorentina. He told me that Florence is an amazing city.”
BOLOGNA: “It will be a very tough match; they tend to use a man-marking system. The coach will decide how to best prepare for this game.”
SOLOMON
GREETING AT THE OLIMPICO: “It wasn’t the warmest of welcomes, but I’m used to it. These things happen. I’m not here to talk about politics; I’m in Florence to play football.”
SERIE A: “Every league has its own style. In Serie A tactics are certainly more important than in the Premier League, but I find it fascinating. I really want to prove myself and play football.”
TABLE: “Fiorentina has a great history, I am very motivated. We will avoid relegation because Fiorentina is a top-level club.”
POSITION: “I’m a winger: my job is to provide assists, score goals and create chances. I have more experience playing as left winger, but I can also play on the right.”
ITALY: “They’re a great team. I still think about that 4-3. I’m sure they’ll qualify for the World Cup.”
