We’re starting to see Fabio Grosso’s coaching style.

“I have to say that the team is training very well, which isn’t easy when it’s this hot. Two training sessions every day are very demanding, but things are going very well. I’m also happy that our fans are here and got to watch our training session.”

You look like a close-knit group. As one of the leaders of the team, can you tell us what atmosphere you’re feeling?

“There’s a very positive atmosphere and we look forward to starting this new season.”

Gianmaria Fei did very well with the Fiorentina U20 team last season and we saw him train with you here today. Have you given him any advice and what do you think about him?

“I like him both as a goalkeeper and as a person. He and I have very similar attributes. He’s very fast and has great spring. I try to give him some advice, but in any case, he has very good prospects.”

How important is it for these U20 players to play and train with the first team?

“When I was young, I used to do the same thing. I loved watching more experienced players play. It was a great privilege. It’s an honor for me to play with these younger players as well and it’s something I really enjoy.”
