Fiorentina coach Fabio Grosso held a press conference at the Wind Tre Media Center of Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park. Here is what he had to say:
TORINO - “It will be a stimulating game. We want to show what we can do. Our goal today is to prepare as best we can to do something great.”
TRANSFER WINDOW - “Our shared idea has always been to develop a new project, focused on creating a young group, for Fiorentina to flourish. We realize how much a transfer window can influence a team’s journey. The club has made major investments. We are working hard to show what we can do and make the most of what we have.”
DEFENSE - “We reviewed what happened and we’re not going to look for excuses. We know who we are and that’s an excellent starting point. We’ve worked on our mistakes and we are eager to bounce back and do well.”
ROLANDO MANDRAGORA - “Rolando has always been very professional, just like all his teammates. We all want to do great things, starting from tomorrow against Torino.”
LATEST ADDITIONS - “I’ve spoken to everyone. There’s a lot of excitement, but now we need to understand what their fitness level is. Unfortunately, [Arthur] Atta and Dodo have had some minor niggles this week.”
GOALS CONCEDED - “We’ve reviewed our matches. We’re not satisfied with what we’ve done so far. Playing the blame game is pointless. What actually matters is understanding where we can improve.”
