Pietro Comuzzo shared his thoughts in the wake of Fiorentina’s Conference League win over Rakow:

“We gave our all and it wasn’t an easy start for us. The conditions were tough but we knew we couldn’t make that an excuse because it was the same for both teams. We’re aiming to achieve something big together. We need to improve a lot but I think with grit and desire we can go really far.

“We knew that Rakow were a really physical team all across the team. We did well to contain them and do them damage when we could. When we conceded at the start of the second half it gave us some drive and we reacted. We performed well. It was important to make the next round and that’s exactly what we did.”
