Marco Brescianini shared his views after Fiorentina triumphed over Cremonese in a crucial relegation six-pointer on Monday night.

“We prepared for it like any other game and focused a lot on set-pieces because we know Cremonese are very strong in dead-ball situations. After [Fabiano] Parisi's goal, there was a bit more space as Cremonese started to open up more and that made it easier for us to get forward.

“It's a very good result for us but we remain 100% focused on our objective because we have another nine important matches and we must play them with the right mindset.

“Personally I'm giving my all, although I'd like to contribute more. As a footballer, you're always looking to raise the bar.

"I'll play wherever the boss needs me but I'm a player who likes to get forward, in a box-to-box role, right or left – it doesn't make much difference. 

"It was fundamental to come here and get a result today and that's what we did.”
