Speaking from the Wind Tre Media Center at the Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park on Wednesday, Fiorentina’s new signing Arthur Atta shared his thoughts and ambitions for this new stage of his career.

Choice: “After speaking with Sporting Director Paratici and the coach over the past few weeks, I felt that joining Fiorentina was definitely the right choice for me.”

Career: “I started playing late, at 20, in France. I still have a lot to learn and Fiorentina will help me do that. I’d also like to provide more assists.”

Position: “My preferred role is as a box-to-box midfielder, but I’m completely at the coach’s disposal wherever he needs me.”

The new Fiorentina: “I don’t feel any pressure. I’m proud of the confidence Fiorentina has shown in me. I’ll do everything I can to repay the club.”

Fagioli: “He plays with such ease. He’s capable of doing things on the pitch that very few players in the world can do.”

Squad number: “I wore the number 14 shirt at Udinese. If it’s available, I’d be happy to wear it again this season.”

Other offers: “There were other offers, but I chose Fiorentina. I’d like to thank the Commisso family and everyone at the club for giving me the opportunity to come here.”
