Atta: "Getting to grips with the coach's ideas"

Arthur Atta chats to us after Friday's training session about how the first week of pre-season is going.

Today was the fifth day of pre-season and it's pretty intense. How's it going?

“It's good. We're working well. We're getting to grips with the ideas the coach wants to instill in his team. It's hot but we're enjoying it.”

The coach gives out lots of instructions in training. What does he want from you specifically?

“Mainly the things I said during the press conference: he wants me to push up as much as possible because we're a team that wants to score goals. If we want to win games, we need to get forward.”

How's your first week in Florence gone? How are you settling in?

“Really well. The guys have given me a nice welcome. I'm happy to work with them – they're all good players and god guys. I can't wait to play with them in matches.”

You're getting to know the fans. I'm sure your team-mates have told you about them.

“Yes, I've been told how passionate the fans are but you can see it too. They're here every day and it's really nice. I hope we can have a great season for them.”
