ACF Fiorentina has announced that the club has signed Icelandic national team player Katla Tryggvadottir.

A midfielder born on May 5, 2005, Katla joins from Swedish club Kristianstads DFF, where she spent last season. Previously Katla had featured for Valur Reykjavik and Throttur, both teams from the Icelandic capital.

Katla made her senior national team debut in 2024 and was in the squad for Iceland as they competed in the European Championships this summer.

The player has signed a contract with the club until June 30, 2028.
