ACF Fiorentina is happy to announce that player Emma Lombardi has signed her first professional contract with the club. The 18-year-old defender rose through the ranks of Fiorentina, playing for the club’s U19 team all across Italy. She has joined the women’s first team this season and made her Serie A and Coppa Italia debuts.

Here is what she had to say after officially signing her contract: “I would like to start by thanking president [Rocco] Commisso for creating this amazing sporting facility for Fiorentina, as well as the management for always believing in me. Signing my first professional contract is an amazing feeling as well as a major personal achievement. I hope I will be able to reach my goals together with the rest of the team by giving it my all both on and off the pitch. I want to do my best for this club and repay the faith they’ve shown in me. I want to honor the colors of this club and always do my very best.”
