Fiorentina fell to a late defeat against Juventus, with the goal coming in contentious circumstances.
The first half was an exciting affair, with both sides hitting the woodwork. The hosts took control of the game after the break, but the Viola stood firm, and it seemed like a draw would be a fair result.
However, deep into injury time Fiorentina player Benedetta Orsi was seemingly fouled, but Juventus played on and scored. The incident was reviewed by VAR, which determined that there was nothing amiss. This was followed by a heated finale, with both coaches sent off by the referee.
Next week's international break will see many of Fiorentina’s players head off to work with their national teams. Pinones Arce’s side’s next fixture is against Ternana on December 7.
